Hi, I’m Dr. Sara Rapaport!

My greatest passion is helping people feel a greater sense of joy, aliveness, and freedom in their lives. I specialize in mind-body medicine, which bridges the divide between conditions normally seen as mental-health related with those seen as more physical in origin. I support my patients in recovering from chronic stress, anxiety, developmental trauma, headaches, insomnia, IBS, chronic pain, and more! I love treating folks from all walks of life and with a wide array of complaints.

My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care and health at every size. I strive to create a safe and inclusive place for people of all genders, colors, backgrounds, cultures, sizes, and identifications.

I am deeply inspired by the vitality within us all- the flame that keeps on shining even in the darkest of times. My training in naturopathic medicine and The NeuroAffective Relational model (NARM) have given me a robust background in helping my patients access their own vitality and allowing their own healing process to unfold. I look forward to working with you along your health journey!

Her story

Dr. Sara was led to the field of medicine at an early age as her family navigated the challenges of obtaining a diagnosis for her brother’s rare metabolic condition. The years of medical mystery leading up to an eventual diagnosis led to an early curiosity about medicine and alternative treatments.

Following college and feeling unsure about a traditional western medical path, she took a break to study permaculture design. It was during this experience that she was introduced to the healing power of herbs and various other holistic modalities. Through this experience, she became drawn towards naturopathic medicine.

During medical school, she realized that much of her journey to that point had innately become about her own need and desire to create more healing in her own life. Upon this discovery, she spent the last two years of her medical training specializing in mind-body medicine under the supervision of Dr. Brad Lichtenstein and Dr. Paul Dompe.

Through mind-body medicine and immersion in nature, she was able to develop a deeply compassionate understanding of herself and others through understanding the nervous system. It is her passion to bring this knowledge to others and help them through their own process towards greater ease and wellness.

In her free time, Dr. Sara loves traveling, backpacking, rock climbing, movement, cooking nutritious meals, playing music and spending time with loved ones.

*Dr. Sara is not currently practicing as a primary care doctor and instead functions as an adjunctive part of your care team.
